8th Month....

Well, I thought I would update you all with the fact that Friday was our 8th month of waiting. We were told that things should be happening soon. We were given some updates last week from our adoption agency about where we are in line with getting our baby and we are VERY CLOSE!!!! We are not the next in line....but we are getting there. I just wanted to thank those of you who are still lifting us up to our Lord in prayer! He hears them and is giving us the comfort we need while we wait.

I Peter 5: 16- "Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much."

I also realized that I still have not posted the name that we have chosen, and I am sorry, we will post it soon! Love to all!!!

Russian Adoption Tee-Shirts

I found this web page with the cutest tee shirt sayings about Russian adoption. Here were some of the sayings,

"Yes, I'm bilingual I can cry in both Russian and English"
"WHAT!?!? You mean I don't look like my parents"
" I was SO worth it"
"Made in Russia" (written in a heart)
"Worth the wait"

Our personal favorite- "My mommy and daddy went to Russia and all they came back with was me"

"I'm adopting therefor I blog" (all you adopting mothers will understand this one)
"I have a child in Russia"
"I'm expecting a little boy from Russia"
"Pregnant on Paper"
"Expecting from Russia"
"Love knows no borders. Building our family through international adoption"
"I helped this little hand come home" (written inside a baby hand print)

This web page has tee shirts with the Russian words for Mommy, Daddy, Grandparents, Aunts and Uncles.....check out this web page, the tee shirts are adorable!!!

8 Agencies Have Received Accreditation's!!!!

Well, we got news last week that Russia has given Accreditation's to 8 agencies, but CHI is not on that list. I am so excited that it has started...that means CHI's accreditation is coming!!!

I was reading this morning and came across a verse, Isaiah 55:8-9 "'For my thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,' says the Lord. 'For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.'" It is great to be reminded that God's thoughts and plans and ways and heavens are so much higher then I could even imagine! God has been giving me His Words as a guide. I can't help but to turn to Him in my time of need.

I wanted to share with all of you about a friend of mine who is going through her own trials right now. Her trials FAR outweigh my trail of waiting. She is going though a trial of Breast Cancer, for the second time in 2 years. I have known her and her twin sister since Kindergarten and they both have been dear friends of mine since then. She is also my sister in Christ and I praise God for that. Every time that I think of my waiting and longing to have our baby boy, I can't help but to think of her strength and courage during her struggle. God is blessing so many people through her. I just wanted to take a moment to tell her that her strength and faith in our Lord and Savior is something that inspires me. She is a strong woman of faith and I thank God every time I think of her and for her constant words of encouragement.

So all that to say, I am joyful for my suffering and thank God that He only gives me enough that is sufficient for me to go through with His help! "I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength." (thanks for reminding me of that Pat T.)

Please continue to pray for Coby and I as we wait and I mostly ask for prayer for our baby that he will be taken care of until we can go get him and take care of him ourselves.

I hope you all are having a wonderful holiday and also remembering our country and all its freedom and our troops in war right now protecting our freedom as Americans!

Well, Baby OWEN is home!!! Jim and Adrienne returned home last night at 8:31pm and walked off the plane to TONS of people, welcome home signs, cameras (one being mine of course), stuffed animals, smiles, tears and nothing but joy! They looked great and so did Owen. To see our friends do what we are dreaming of doing one day.....brought joy to my heart.

Watching Adrienne last night holding Owen and introducing him to this enormous crowd of smiling faces, she was so happy and amazing! I think the first thing out of both Jim and Adrienne's mouth was, "this flight went a lot better then the other flight." Then the talk about Owen started......they are parents! And they looked and sounded just like parents! How beautiful a picture to see that God can place a child in their arms and they immediately become that child's provider and protector. That brought me joy knowing that, that WILL be Coby and I one day soon!

Well, I just wanted to say that Coby and I have picked out a name and it is............I can't say it yet. Sorry! We have to call the man who we are using his name and tell him before we tell anyone else. It's only fair. So I will try to have the name posted in our next blog.

Well, again, no news, and that is fine. I think this must be soon for us, because it seams to be the only thing people are asking far are you along? Well, we really don't know, and that's OK. As soon as CHI calls us and gives us the good news, we will pass it......I mean YELL it all along to everyone and so we can rejoice with each other!

I love quoting our Lord's words and ending my blog with encouragement to you all through our Lord, but today I thought I would quote one of my favorite songs and dedicate it to all the waiting mom's out there. What unmeasurable strength we draw from our Lord during this time as we all wait to see the face of our baby.
Adrienne.......may this bring back the moment you first saw Owen's face:

The first time ever I saw your face
I thought the sun rose in your eyes
and the moon and the stars were the gift you gave
to the dark and the endless skies.... my love

the first time ever I kissed your mouth
I felt the earth move through my hand
like the trembling heart of a captive bird
that was there at my command love

the first time ever I lay with you
and felt your heart so close to mine
the first time ever I saw your face
your face, your face.... your face.
