Happy Birthday Andrey...

Remember this face......remember the smile......remember the hope that came with the possibility of bring him home.....He turned 2 today!

We have not received an update on Andrey since we were in Russia this past March. We were told that he is back living at the orphanage. When we were there visiting Neil, Andrey was in the hospital because he was sick. We really don't know any more then that.

But I look at these pictures and I smile and remember our time with him. He was so tender, sweet, smiley, lovable and such a blessing to be with. Maybe today, being his birthday, you can ask God to continue protecting him and that it might be a special day for him. That just maybe today he might be held a little more, kissed a few extra times and hugged one more time before being put to bed tonight. He is a blessing and a little gift from God, that Coby and I.....and all of you....will never forget.

Memorial Day Weekend

Coby and I with our friends Jenny and Jonny went camping this past weekend. We had beautiful weather and we had a lot of fun hiking, camping, playing games and checking out the white water rafters! OK....I have to admit....being from California, I did have a good giggle when I saw my first Piggly Wiggly.

The Father's Hand

I was looking through a few of our Second First Trip pictures tonight and I came across these of Neil's hands and Coby's. I thought of how beautiful they were and how they made me stop and think of God's hands holding ours. Our Heavenly Father with His righteous right hand holding our hand and helping us in our struggles.

Notice in the pictures that most of them show Coby trying to guide Neil's little hand to take his. Sometimes it was a struggle to get Neil to hold on, and sometimes (like the 4th picture) it was a perfect hold. Neil found one of Coby's finger that his little hand could wrap around, and took it, squeezed it and held tight.

I couldn't think of anything else to do or say. It is here! After 3 1/2 months of waiting for our renewal approval from the Memphis office.....it came in the mail today! Praise God. Thank you for your prayers and God is good!

Our agency said that this is good and it should be just around the corner that we get a court date.

Here we come Baby Neil! Hold on, Mommy and Daddy are almost there.....
and you are almost here!!!!

Thanks to my other brother Dean, who is the Controller at the Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel, Coby and I were hooked up and this is the view from our hotel room!!! Nice!!!
Coby and I all dressed up! I was a brides maid and Coby was a groomsman. Neil was to be the ring bearer....but we didn't get him back in time...oh well.Coby and the bride Dana. Dana and Coby have grown up together and their relationship is like brother and sister. Notice Coby is sitting on Dana's lap and she smacked him after the picture!
Dana and I have known each other for 10 years now, and she is an amazing friend and sister-in-law to me!! The wedding was beautiful and fun and went off beautifully!!!
