7 months of waiting....and counting

Well, today marks the 7th month that our paperwork was sent over to Kemerovo. WOW, I honestly thought that at this time, we would of at least have met our baby...or even possibly have already brought him home. But that was not God's plan. Instead, I have been learning a great deal of patience and long suffering.

Through all of this I must say that God's love is holding Coby and I together and it is His strength that is giving us hope. I celebrated my 32nd birthday last Saturday and the verse that was on my daily calender said, "But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing." II Thessalonians 3:13. What an encouragement to know that what we are doing in adopting a child is a wonderful thing and I am encouraged by the Lord through His words of not being weary.

Coby and I just returned home from visiting the Bay area (San Fransisco, California) We were there for Coby's mother's 60th birthday party and meeting and visiting with family that we had not known. It was a wonderful thing and it is great to know that our baby will have more family to love him that we didn't even know until this weekend! Family from New York and Florida! It was great meeting all of you and we can't wait to share our baby with y'all.

Well, there is still no news from the "home front." But if you want to read a wonderful story and be encouraged, check out our friends blog....Jim and Adrienne....they are bringing their little baby Owen home on the 3rd and their story has been a wonderful encouragement to Coby and I!

May I encourage you all with God's words: "When I consider thy heavens, the work of they fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained: what is man, that thou are mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visited him?" Psalm 8:3-4...What a great God we serve!

Oh sweet Brandy and Coby,

We completely know how you feel, waiting and waiting. May God grant you peace during this terribly difficult time. I am so happy we are encouraging you with our story of Owen's adoption. Through all the worries, all the fears, all the waiting, God kept us going, and now we have the precious gift we've been waiting for--our son! Your time is coming, when your son will be in your arms too. We're here for you!

Lots of love,
Adrienne
