Well, I thought I would update you all with the fact that Friday was our 8th month of waiting. We were told that things should be happening soon. We were given some updates last week from our adoption agency about where we are in line with getting our baby and we are VERY CLOSE!!!! We are not the next in line....but we are getting there. I just wanted to thank those of you who are still lifting us up to our Lord in prayer! He hears them and is giving us the comfort we need while we wait.
I Peter 5: 16- "Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much."
I also realized that I still have not posted the name that we have chosen, and I am sorry, we will post it soon! Love to all!!!

September 4, 2007- received referral (my brother Wes' 35th birthday)
September 6, 2007- accepted referral.
First Trip
September 28, 2007- leave Nashville for NY, then Moscow
October 5, 2007- Return from Moscow
December 6, 2007- Terminated first referal due to health issues.
January 28, 2008- received another referral from Kemerovo (our friend Hope's 33rd birthday)
February 19, 2008- received medical and one picture of our new referral.
February 21, 2008- received travel dates for first trip
Second First Trip
March 8, 2008-leave Nashville for Atlanta, then Moscow
March 15, 2008- Return from Moscow
May 13, 2008- Received I171H renewal after waiting 31/2 months.
July 8, 2008-received court date of 8/21/08
July 23, 2008- received travel dates for court

August 16, 2008- leave Nashville for Moscow
August 21, 2008- Court!!!
August 22, 2008- GOTCHA DAY!!!!!!!!!

We wanted to introduce ourselves. We are Carey and Norman and have been working with CHI since May towards our Russian adoption. CHI Brentwood sent our Dossier to St. Louis on Friday, and we hope to be contacted by Mareda this week concerning regional choices or selection. I noticed that you are good friends with Carrie and Michael and we are planning to meet them for lunch this Saturday after the first pre-adoption class. Kemerovo was the region we selected ourselves when looking at all the regions due to the large number or orphans in that area. I told Amanda just in case she has an opportunity to forward it on to Mareda. If given the option, I think we will choose to go there.
